John Hossack

CEO and Co-Founder

John Hossack has never been comfortable with the “status quo” and has always been and continues to be in constant pursuit of better. His analytical disposition led to an affinity for game-theory and strategy. Looking for a challenge, John initiated his career as a proficient currency trader and, after 3 successful years, left the currency world as Treasury Manager to pursue his MBA.
Following his academic career, he joined an early stage digital consultancy that grew into Cardinal Path; a cutting-edge data analytics consultancy firm with multiple offices in Canada and the United States. As Co-Founder and CEO, John worked diligently to build and grow Cardinal Path, until it was acquisitioned by Dentsu Aegis Network, a global marketing services group.

John challenges the traditionally held standards and “typical” business practices that focus on profits at the expense of people, growth and long-term sustainability. A big part of John’s mission is to find better ways to help companies create conditions where people, profits and communities thrive and grow.

John connected with Stephen de Groot of Myriad Consulting and experienced first-hand, the impact and potential of the Getting to Better Blueprint concepts and CORE programs. He knew that something even better and more fantastic could be built. He saw that Myriad’s CORE philosophies could be extended and developed into digital tools and applications, it’s training courses could be adapted and offered online to reach and positively influence a greater audience.

These ideas became a reality when John Hossack and Stephen de Groot united with Chris Downey on the conviction that all people and companies deserve better. And it was from that idea, Brivia was born.
